Rotary Bangalore Global Yoga Club (Club ID 91205) Bangalore, India is the first cause based
club in Rotary to propagate Yoga and benefits of Yogik Structure in everyone's life. We were
chartered in 2020 with the able guidance of the DG Rtn. B.L. Nagendra Prasad and
Rtn. Dr. Yogi Devaraj as our Charter President. Since the time of inception, the idea of taking
Yoga to common public in India and abroad we started many online and offline workshops,
classes and conferences. One such signature project is Global Yoga Summit. Attached Post
Summit report of 2022 and 2023 has a ready rekoner. where in we had representatives from
21st Countries. Taking the service through Yoga forward, our next initiative of Bharath
Lanka Global Yoga festivalIs being planned on 13th July 2024 @ Kandy Srilanka. Following is
the planning @ Kandy Srilanka time. Morning 5.30 AM to 10.00AM venue would be
Bogambara Stadium, Ehelepola Kumarihami Mawatha, Kandy, where the expectance of
crowd is around 2000 + which includes local public, University students, officials from
Central province and expected guest include International cricketers like
Sri. Muttaiah Maralitharan, Sri Lanka cricket coach, Sri. Sanath Jayasurya among many
known people from Sri Lanka. The morning program includes agnihotra, Matrupitru Puja,
Yoga demonstration and key note address by Yoga masters from all over the world. The
entry would be free. Yoga conference or seminars are planned from 11:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M.
at Postal Auditorium Station road, Kandy which is about 300 mts from Bhogambara
stadium and where we have planned. Practical sessions on therapy, medical bases in Yoga
asana, by eminent speakers from local and abroad in both the languages i.e Sinhala and
English.
Scientific yoga poster presentation competition is being planned for Yoga students and
researchers which will be lead by knowledge partner, Gampaha Wickramarachchi
University of indigenous medicine.
